Augmented Career Mentoring
Combine the wisdom of human mentoring with structured, AI-supported tools that help you think better about your career — and act with greater confidence and clarity.
Mentoring is a developmental relationship that helps people make sense of their career, strengthen their judgement, and take confident, self-directed action.
Unlike advice-giving or coaching towards short-term goals, mentoring focuses on perspective, meaning, and long-term growth. It combines reflective dialogue, shared experience, and structured inquiry to support better decisions over time.
Augmented career mentoring blends human mentoring with intelligent tools to deepen insight and accelerate progress — without replacing the human relationship. In practice, this means:
- The mentor provides presence, challenge, experience, and ethical judgement
- The toolbox provides structure, prompts, evidence, and continuity
- AI is used to surface patterns, generate options, and support reflection, not to dictate decisions
Together, they create a mentoring experience that is:
- More consistent (ideas and insights are captured and revisited)
- More personalised (based on values, strengths, skills, and context)
- More actionable (turning reflection into well-formed experiments and next steps)
How the toolbox supports mentoring
The Career Pathfinder Toolbox acts as a thinking partner between mentoring conversations. It helps you:
- Clarify what matters to you (values, drivers, boundaries)
- Make sense of your skills, experience, and emerging identity
- Explore possibilities safely before committing
- Prepare for conversations, decisions, and transitions
- Reflect on outcomes and adapt your direction over time.
In summary, I work alongside you to help you make sense of the insights you gain from the toolbox, helping you turn reflection into confident, well-judged career actions.
About me
I am a Career Mentor with over 45 years’ experience in corporate life and more than 9 years supporting individuals through personal and professional change. My background spans leadership, technology-driven transformation, project and programme management, coaching and facilitation across countries, cultures and industries.
My purpose is simple: to empower people to live purposeful, fulfilling professional lives.
I work with individuals who want clarity about their direction, confidence in their strengths and a structured way to explore new possibilities. Whether you are navigating uncertainty, preparing for a pivot, returning to the workforce, or simply seeking work that feels more aligned with who you are, I help you think clearly, explore openly and move forward deliberately.
Why I Do This Work
We are living in a world shaped by rapid technological change, shifting industries and global challenges that affect how and why we work. Many people reach a point where they realise that the work they’ve been doing no longer fits — but they don’t yet know what the next chapter could look like.
My role as a Career Mentor is to help you make sense of this complexity:
to understand who you are, what matters to you, and how to build a working life that aligns with your strengths, values and aspirations.
I do this through thoughtful conversation, reflective inquiry, and the structured support of the Career Pathfinder Toolbox, which I’ve developed to guide your exploration with clarity, logic and creativity.
My Background
Throughout my career, I have:
- led and supported major organisational and technology transformations
- coached and mentored people across industries, cultures and roles
- facilitated change in complex business environments
- worked in both large enterprises and small organisations
- combined human insight with technological tools to support better decision-making
Colleagues often describe me as thoughtful, patient, analytical and attentive — someone who listens deeply, sees both the detail and the bigger picture, and asks questions that help people think differently.
“Graham is a true professional with an eye for detail, never forgetting the broad picture. His ability to listen and to serve customers is something to envy. Graham is a natural mentor, a great listener and skilled at knowing the right questions to ask.”
A Technologist at Heart
I’ve always been curious about how technology can improve the way we work and think. The Career Pathfinder Toolbox grew out of that curiosity — blending structured exercises, coaching methodologies and selective AI support to help people explore options and make decisions more confidently.
It’s not about replacing coaching with technology; it’s about enhancing your thinking and giving you tools that make your exploration more focused, creative and productive.
